Erdogan, Saudi Crown Prince Vow Cooperation on Rebuilding Syria
During a meeting in Riyadh with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the leaders discussed regional and global developments, bilateral relations, energy, and defense, as noted by Türkiye's Communications Directorate.
Erdogan highlighted ongoing Turkish efforts to assist Gaza’s reconstruction and called for increased measures to address the humanitarian crisis there. The leaders also reviewed the latest developments in Yemen and East Africa.
The Turkish president expressed determination to elevate Türkiye-Saudi relations to a “higher level” through initiatives across multiple sectors.
In a joint statement, both countries praised their strong economic ties in trade, investment, and other sectors of mutual priority. They agreed on the importance of leveraging opportunities under Saudi Vision 2030 and Türkiye’s Century of Türkiye plan to benefit both economies.
The statement also emphasized the need to expand non-oil trade, promote reciprocal visits by public and private officials, and organize trade events through the Türkiye-Saudi Arabia Business Council to further strengthen economic cooperation.
