Turkey Dismisses Netanyahu Criticism of Erdogan
In a statement posted on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Duran criticized what he called attempts to lecture Türkiye on moral conduct while Israel faces widespread international criticism over its actions in Gaza and the West Bank.
He said: "It is complete audacity for an administration and leader with a record marked by the killing of tens of thousands of civilians over decades in Gaza and the West Bank, condemning children to hunger, destroying cities and disregarding international law, to try to give Türkiye lessons on morality,"
Duran also referenced ongoing proceedings at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) related to allegations concerning Gaza, using them to underline Türkiye’s position on international accountability mechanisms.
His remarks come amid heightened diplomatic tensions between Ankara and Tel Aviv, with both sides increasingly exchanging sharp political accusations.
